Yasmin grew up very passionate about animals, surrounded by dogs throughout her childhood and then began horse riding at the age of 10.
She was very fortunate that her local riding school had such a variety of horses and was also a dressage training centre so her eye for movement began developing at a very early age as she helped out at the stables every chance she could. It was from here that she formed the first idea’s that she wanted to be able to aid all animals.
By the age of 15, she was caring for her German Shepherd through his two cruciate ligament surgeries and aiding in the rehabilitation of horse’s whom were recovery from injuries.
This fuelled her career dreams and eventually spurred her to complete a BSc (Hons) in Equine Sports Therapy graduating in 2014. During this time, she also pursued extra qualifications completing courses in Equine Gait Analysis and Biomechanics, Equine Anatomy, Equine Kinesiotaping alongside Advanced Equine Massage techniques.
Going on to complete a Post-Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Physiotherapy to encompass canine therapy into her business forming “Hot2Trot: Veterinary Physiotherapy.” She is currently based in Grimsby with her Labrador x Springer Spaniel and her Thoroughbred ex-racehorse whom she has been rehabilitating to take forwards into Dressage in Summer 2018.
She has a range of upcoming continuing professional development courses planned for 2018, including Canine Hydrotherapy and Human Sports Massage.
All appointments are at pre-arranged times, subject to availability, and will involve the Veterinary Physiotherapist either coming to your home (canine) or yard (equine).
